There’s not much I can add about Emma Hatton’s powerhouse of a performance that hasn’t been said already. I was also impressed with Kevin Stephen-Jones portrayal of Perón which seemed to have a lot more depth to other productions I’ve seen.

Evita returns to the Edinburgh Playhouse with more than a little starryness about the turns, to match the starry nature of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical.
