Directed by multi Olivier Award winner Stephen Daldry, the Young Vic production of The Inheritance by Matthew Lopez will transfer to the West End, playing a limited season at the Nöel Coward Theatre from 21 September 2018 (opening on 13 October).
In this new version of Ibsen’s play by Patrick Marber, director Ivo van Hove has the equally extraordinary talents of Ruth Wilson leading his company. And as with his revelatory A View From The Bridge, this is a contemporary reworking of a classic that will frustrate some with its froideur but left me gasping at its gut-wrenching rawness.
The National Theatre has announced full dates and further details for its new booking period, running from September 2016 to February 2017. Headline highlights for the period include: dates for Ruth Wilson taking the title role in HEDDA GABLER in a new version by Patrick Marber, directed by Ivo van Hove, and The Night Manager’s Elizabeth Debicki joining Mark Strong and Hope Davis in the cast of David Hare’s THE RED BARN, directed by Robert Icke.
