This really is a delightful revival of classic show Me and My Girl – next stop the West End? I think or rather I believe it so.

Artistic Director of the National Theatre Rufus Norris met with invited guests this week at the Theatre Royal Bath to talk about the touring production of Macbeth and his vision and passion. I was present and captured both his talk and an interview with Norris.
I think this show will be perfect for anyone looking for an entertaining night out as long as they prepare to go with the trot, canter and gallop of a slightly bonkers romance mingled with some great songs.
This production is a sublimely exquisite staging of a classic Rodgers and Hammerstein show. All hail Broadway Queen Kelli O’Hara for bringing her inimitable characterisation and vocal supremacy to her portrayal of Anna
There’s a new Billy in town – Martin Kemp takes over the role from Cuba Gooding Jr on 2 July 2018. I caught up with Martin during rehearsals.
This week I visited the newly renamed Jim Steinman suite at the Dominion Theatre, to catch up with Rob Fowler who plays Falco in Bat Out Of Hell – The Musical.
We all have our favourite Abba song, right? Imagine what’s it like to be part of the Mamma Mia! sensation, either on tour or in the West End? I spoke to Sarah Pozer who plays Donna and Georgia Louise who is Donna’s daughter Sophie.
An impeccable five-star production from Opera North in association with Welsh National Opera. Do not be put off by the word opera this is West End musical theatre at its very, very best.
Expertly directed by Brian Blessed, this charming quintessentially British murder mystery is a thoroughly enjoyable evening out.
It’s true what “they” say, you know, small is beautiful. This can definitely be said for the small but very beautiful It’s Only Life. This life-affirming musical makes you rediscover what’s important.
I would simply implore you to go and see this show. It’s clever, witty, exceptionally well-written, outstandingly acted and kept my attention throughout. Even knowing the outcome, I was fascinated and gripped until the very end.
Ghost About the House at the King’s Head Theatre is a good romp, with pratfalls, slapstick and comic parodies, and loads of sight gags.
In The Unbuilt City, a young man and an old woman meet in the house where she has lived since childhood. At first it is difficult to imagine two characters so utterly unlike each other and with so little in common.
I caught up with Toby Miles who is about to make his West End debut in the long-running musical Les Misérables. We talked about his dreams, how it felt to be joining such an iconic musical, and his journey so far.
The Chalk Garden is visually stunning to look at and has some extremely impressive performances from a talented and very well-rehearsed cast.
It’s a short run at Southwark Playhouse but I truly feel this production deserves several more spins around ‘The Rink‘ and definitely has a future life.
I would recommend seeing TriOperas as an introduction to opera as it offers a good night out but would hope at some point in the future the score can be given the overhaul it desperately needs to realise the huge potential of this idea.
I think some of the elements in Tartuffe might have been lost in translation, they were certainly lost on me, but for anyone who is fluent in French and English, it could be just the thing for a good night out.
Into the Woods at the Cockpit Theatre is a well executed, solid production with some extremely strong vocal performances.
