Less than a week to go until The Barn – a brand-new, 200-seat, state-of-the-art theatre in the Cotswolds – officially opens its doors to the press with its inaugural production of Tony Award-winning family musical The Secret Garden. And leading Broadway director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell, who has signed up as one of the theatre’s stellar ambassadors, has a message for the cast.

Fringe innovators The Pensive Federation return to The Vaults with their annual new writing event, The Significant Other Festival, running from 17 to 21 April 2018. Ten new 10-minute plays will be created in just 10 days and woven together in one grand, immersive piece – Pensive’s most ambitious production to date.
Casting has been announced for the European premiere of Audrey Cefaly’s award-winning American two-hander THE GULF, which runs from three weeks London’s Tristan Bates Theatre from 17 April 2018, including a post-show Q&A hosted by Mates co-founder Terri Paddock.
Final casting has been announced for the first complete London revival of Noël Coward’s Tonight at 8.30 since 1936, being staged by Jermyn Street Theatre as part of its The Reaction Season.
Jermyn Street Theatre’s The Reaction Season, running from 10 April to 18 August, will feature 15 plays and musicals – 12 of them one-act – based around themes of reacting and re-enacting.
