Today’s the day! This year’s Camden Fringe launches today. We only wish we could clone ourselves to see every show whose artists we met at the recent launch party. Check out launch photos and tweets – and then get booking!
The annual Camden Fringe Festival, with its signature pigeon mascot, is now in its 14th year, offering London its very own dose of fringe fun.
The festival was co-founded by Michelle Flower and Zena Barrie, who still run it, in 2006 as an Edinburgh-alternative, August filler at London’s Etcetera Theatre. That inaugural festival comprised 22 acts.
In 2019, there are over 300+ theatre, comedy, dance and children’s shows running across 30 venues in and around the north London borough of Camden over four weeks.
MyTheatreMates is delighted to be working with organisers to promote this year’s festival, as well as with so many individual productions taking part. Mates founder Terri Paddock was on hand at the launch party earlier this month to talk more about the partnership and to meet scores of theatremakers.
