The one-man show that mixes incredible feats of conjuring with side-splitting character comedy runs from 14 to 18 January 2020.
Written by and starring comedian, actor and magician Aitchison, Could It Be Magic? follows the finale of a bizarre magic competition. The quartet of contestants, all played by Aitchison, include enchantingly coiffured German illusionist Klause Fantastiche, moody mindreader eager to explode onto the big time from his mum’s basement Zantos Thorne, classic conjuring couple from the 70s Colin and Carol, and Magic Ring Magical Society founder and current title holder Reg Kettle.
Aitchison may be best known as a founder member of comedy sketch group Mixed Doubles, who’ve staged work in London and Edinburgh, performed on BBC Radio 4 and won the People’s Choice Award at the Dave Comedy Festival. He previously appeared in the West End production of Potted Panto, I Heard an Angel Singing at Theatre 503 and is currently playing Nurse Nora in Theatre Royal Lincoln’s pantomime, Robin Hood.
