“And would sir like a crossbow with that?” Not the normal question asked by waiters, but at new Game of Thrones-inspired theatrical dining experience Dinner Is Coming, it seems entirely likely. Get a taste for what to expect with these images from the show, then book your tickets!
The parody of the globally successful TV series runs at underground entertainment emporium The Vaults until 14 July 2019.
It is the blessed Day of Marriage between the heir to the Several Kingdoms, Jaffery Bearathon, and Margarine, the beautiful daughter of the noble Trywell family. The Lords and Ladies of Easteros (you, the audience) are invited to eat, drink, laugh and celebrate with them. But be warned: should there be murder in the air, you will be forced to choose a Kingdom. You must pledge your allegiance to the rightful heir to the throne. To which sigil are you truly loyal? Because your loyalty will have some very real consequences to your dinner plans.
Created by Ami Stidolph and Sam Carrack, Dinner Is Coming mixes food, theatre, comedy and a little casual bloodshed to entertain audiences at The Vaults. It follows previous hit shows including Divine Proportions, which invited audiences to feast with the Gods, Dinner at the Twits, in which theatregoers chowed down with Roald Dahl’s disgusting creations, and Beauty and the Feast, which welcomed people into a grown-up fairytale ball. It stars Laurence Pears, Liam Fleming, Janina Smith, Jake Hassam, Charlotte Newton John and Georgia Clarke-Day.
