How many writers and actors will it take to make you to FEEL… and then Feel More again? Proforça Theatre Company has pulled together a sensational line-up for its expanded “All the Feels” season at east London’s The Space next month. Time to get booking!
FEEL, written by James Lewis and directed byProforça artistic director David Brady, runs at The Space from 5 to 17 February 2019, with a press night on 7 February. The new “All the Feels” season also features brand-new material presented in Feel More and Before Feel. The full roster of participating actors and writers is now announced.
“One day, maybe even tomorrow, and maybe only once, I want to wake up and feel it. Feel like today is the day when I’m not going to feel so bloody awful and alone all the time…”
Jamie and Naomi collide on a weekend that will cause them to question everything they ever thought they knew about themselves. Nick meets Karen and their lives will never be the same again.
In a world where love can be swiped on a whim and the path of your whole life is determined by the delay of just one train, is there ever the right time to say what you really feel?
Proforça Theatre Company, in association with Eastlake Productions, presents this new piece of writing about a search for fulfilment, second-hand love and the hope of one day becoming something better than you are. Because sometimes, to follow your heart you have to give it away to someone else.
The cast for FEEL at The Space are Gabrielle Nellis-Pain, Anthony Fagan, Colin Hubbard and Emily Costello (pictured top of page). Newly introduced for 2019 is Before Feel, a brand-new monologue – written by James Lewis, directed by Jess Barton, and performed by Arthur Velarde – will be showcased at selected shows during the main run of FEEL. Beyond London, Before Feel will be staged by a different actor and director at each venue the main show visits on tour, forming a regional response unique to each location.
At the Space, FEEL is joined again by a fresh Feel More collection for 2019, directed by Proforça associate director Jess Barton. An expanded universe of stories from the world of Feel, Feel More sees seven brand-new pieces of writing from seven of London’s most talented new fringe writers.
The selected writers are Hannah Bates, Marcus Bernard, Paul Bradshaw, Fergus Church, Jack Albert Cook and Alex Knott.
Their Feel More monologues are performed by John Slade, Demelza O’Sullivan, Kelly Gray, Jacob Jackson, Ross Kernahan and Hannah Dale. Note: The work in this season contains strong language and adult themes.
Feel runs from 5 to 17 February 2019, with performances Tuesdays to Saturdays at 7.30pm, and performances of Feel More on Saturdays at 2.30pm and Sundays at 6pm. It’s at The Space Arts Centre, 269 Westferry Road, London E14 3RS. Individual show tickets are priced £14. A joint “All the Feels” is discounted to £20. CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE!
