Proforça Theatre Company reprises its critically acclaimed play FEEL in a new, expanded “All the Feels” season at east London’s The Space in February ahead of a UK tour later in 2019. Time to get booking!
FEEL, written by James Lewis and Proforca artistic director David Brady, runs at The Space from 5 to 17 February 2019, with a press night on 7 February. The new “All the Feels” season also features brand-new material presented in Feel More and Before Feel.
“One day, maybe even tomorrow, and maybe only once, I want to wake up and feel it. Feel like today is the day when I’m not going to feel so bloody awful and alone all the time…”
Jamie and Naomi collide on a weekend that will cause them to question everything they ever thought they knew about themselves. Nick meets Karen and their lives will never be the same again.
In a world where love can be swiped on a whim and the path of your whole life is determined by the delay of just one train, is there ever the right time to say what you really feel?
Proforça Theatre Company presents this new piece of writing about a search for fulfilment, second-hand love and the hope of one day becoming something better than you are. Because sometimes, to follow your heart you have to give it away to someone else.
The new run of FEEL follows performances at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre, Hertford Theatre, The Albany Theatre Studio, Coventry and the King’s Head Theatre in 2018. After its latest London run, the show will head to numerous venues as part of a limited national tour, with dates to be announced soon.
FEEL is joined once again by a fresh generation of Feel More for 2019, directed by Proforça associated director Jess Barton. An expanded universe of stories from the world of Feel, Feel More sees seven brand-new pieces of writing from seven of London’s most talented new fringe writers. It is performed at Saturday matinees and Sunday early evening performances.
Also new for 2019 is Before Feel, another brand-new Feel More monologue, which will be showcased at selected shows during the main run of FEEL. Beyond London, Before Feel will also be performed by a different actor and director at each venue the main show visits on tour, forming a regional response to Feel unique to each location.
London-based Proforça Theatre Company has a mission to create great fringe theatre experiences that challenge, thrill and confront audiences. Commenting on the further life for FEEL, artistic director David Brady said:
“Producing Feel and Feel More has been such adventure for us and it is a pleasure to be bringing our critically acclaimed shows back to London for 2019. Our modern, millennial love letter to London and all those missed connections has been a real treat to bring to life, and we couldn’t be happier to bring it back with a brand-new cast and a whole new generation of Feel More with some amazing new writers and performers.”
