Love London Love Culture’s Emma Clarendon popped along to see Disney’s new pop-up shop featuring the costumes from its two West End shows Aladdin and The Lion King. Here’s what visitors can expect….
Based in 25 Long Acre, this new experience based close to Covent Garden will take visitors behind the scenes of two of the West End’s most popular shows with daily activities highlighting particular elements of the show.
People will be able to visit until the 26th August and see a selection of the costumes from both shows including the costumes of Rafiki, Zazu and Aladdin as well as the masks of Nala and Simba.
Open daily, visitors can learn more about the inspiration behind the show’s designs and have their picture taken with magic lamp.
Each day there are a variety of different activities for people to take part in including performances from West End cast members, puppetry demonstrations and stage makeup masterclasses, as well as vocal and movement bite-sized workshops for a first-hand flavour of the shows’ music and choreography. Access to all of the events will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
