If these first-look photos of Mischief Theatre’s Groan Ups don’t put you in touch with your ‘inner child’, we don’t know what will. Just two days to go until the brand-new comedy officially opens. Time to get booking!
Opening Mischief Theatre’s year-long season of new work at the West End’s Vaudeville Theatre, Groan Ups runs from 20 September until 1 December 2019, with a press night on 10 October and a post-show Q&A chaired by Mates co-founder Terri Paddock on 17 October.
Are we the same people at 30 as we were at 13? Does school life determine our future? Do we ever grow out of our school crush? Playing an unruly classroom of kids and anarchic high school teenagers, through to the aches and pains of adulthood, Groan Ups is all about growing up.

Terri Paddock chairs a post-show Q&A at Mischief Theatre’s Groan Ups on 17 October 2019. Click here to book!
Groan Ups is written by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields and directed by Kirsty Patrick Ward. The cast features Bryony Corrigan (Chemise/Miss Murray), Dave Hearn (Paul), Henry Lewis (Spencer), Charlie Russell (Katie), Jonathan Sayer (Simon), Henry Shields (Archie) and Nancy Zamit (Moon).
