We chatted to Sarah about starring in The Three Musketeers – attempted by FoolHardy.
Hi Sarah – what can we expect from this production of The Three Musketeers?
Frollicking, farce and fun.
How did you become involved with this production?
My incredible mate from drama school, Sydney Stevenson’s parents met doing this play many years ago and so, as a homage to them and all things comedy, she got the rights to create it for the stage once more. I was there for the first read-through and although she has had to adapt it heavily for Covid times, it fell perfectly in a moment when I could join again.
What was it that made you want to be involved?
Sydney is a witty and extremely clever writer. She made the characters so much fun to play and the piece is a joy to perform. She got the best people involved too.
Could you tell me more about your character Jamie?
She is tomboyish by nature, and whilst not too enthusiastic sitting in her little zoom box, she really comes to life once she is in character.
How are you finding being part of the production so far?
It’s been so lovely. We met for the audio recording a few weeks back and just thrived in each other’s energy and company.
Why should people tune in?
If you want to celebrate farce, to bathe in a traditional tale turned completely on its head, to nod to what we have been through with these zoom performances and just have a really good time, we’ve got you!
