As part of her resumed post-show talk series, Mates founder Terri Paddock will chair a discussion for the world premiere of Jo & Sam Find Themselves in Woking at London’s Hen & Chickens Theatre on Friday 8 April 2022. Time to get booking!
After my Q&A for the brilliant one-woman show Empty in Angel at the Old Red Lion Theatre last year, I’m delighted to reunite with writer James Woolf for his new play. Jo & Sam Find Themselves in Woking premieres at London’s Hen & Chickens Theatre in a strictly limited season from 5 to 23 April 2022.
When millennials, Jo and Sam, meet at the Lightbox, they find they have more to discuss than art. But will they stay together as a couple when the world around them is falling apart? Can they find meaning in Woking when it’s in such short supply everywhere else?
Jo & Sam Find Themselves in Woking is a feisty comedy that’s not afraid to tackle the topics that concern us most. It’s written by James Woolf and directed by Katherine Reilly, reuniting after their success with Empty in Angel, which was a finalist in two Standing Ovation Awards and received a nomination for best actor in the 2021 Offies.
Kieran Dee and Phoebe Marshall star in the Olive & Stravros Theatre production, which has music by Edmund Jolliffe.
Following the 7.30pm performance on Friday 8 April 2022, I’ll talk to Jo & Sam Find Themselves in Woking‘s writer, director and stars about the creative process. Any questions? Join us!
