Nearly three years after launching his epic circumnavigation of the globe with Force Majeure, Eddie Izzard is about to celebrate his unofficial comedy world record of performing in 28 countries (and in four languages) – from Moscow to the Hollywood Bowl – when he heads back home for a four-week residency at the Palace Theatre in London’s West End. Tickets are on sale today.
Force Majeure is the most extensive comedy tour ever. It began its mammoth journey around the globe during spring 2013. From London to Los Angeles, Moscow to Melbourne, Chicago to Cape Town, once this world tour draws to a close Eddie and Force Majeure will have visited over 27 countries throughout Europe, USA, Africa, Russia, Australia and New Zealand.
In addition to his native English, polyglot Izzard has performed Force Majeure in French, German, and Spanish. He’s currently performing in France, where Force Majeure concludes its international dates at Boulogne this coming Tuesday 13 October 2015.
Force Majeure Reloaded, which is being slightly updated for this UK return, runs at the West End’s Palace Theatre from 18 January to 13 February 2015.
