After lauded productions of Feel, At Last and Lately, Proforca Theatre premieres its latest new play by James Lewis, co-written with Georgie Bailey, at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre next month. On a day that starts just like any other, Max receives a piece of news that will force him to confront everything he knows about himself and to embark on a 12-hour odyssey across London that will change his life forever.
Volcano is an explosive roller-coaster ride through a night in one man’s life as everything falls apart. It’s co-written by James Lewis (Proforca Theatre Company) and Georgie Bailey (ChewBoy Productions), and directed by David Brady, artistic director of Proforca Theatre and Lion & Unicorn Theatre.
Jamie O’Neill, who stars as Max, has featured in Lazarus Theatre’s acclaimed productions of Salome, Macbeth, The Revenger’s Tragedy and Edward II. His other recent stage credits include A Very Short Interval, Learning to Swim, 50 Years, New Year’s Eve and Festivus.
O’Neill is joined in the cast by Dodie Finamore as Caroline From HR, Lauren Ferdinand as Sophie and Georgie Bailey as Sam. Movement direction is by Lucy Glassbrook.
