The producers of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie have opened a new booking period up to Saturday 25 January 2020. Entertaining audiences at London’s Apollo Theatre since November 2017, the musical is currently in its second year in the West End.

Producer Nica Burns said: “We are delighted that Layton Williams is having such a ball playing Jamie that he will continue leading the cast into 2020 and will celebrate our second birthday in November 2019. Thank you to our fantastic audiences and critics for continuing to talk about Jamie and keeping us in the West End alongside some of the world’s favourite musicals.”

Layton Williams, who plays Jamie New, said:

“I’m so thrilled to be strutting into 2020 as Jamie New. I love seeing the joy it brings to audience members after every show. It fills my heart and hopefully theirs too!

The full West End cast includes Layton Williams (Jamie New), Shane Richie (Hugo/Loco Channelle), Hayley Tamaddon (Miss Hedge), Alex Anstey (Laika Virgin), Luke Baker (Dean Paxton), Courtney Bowman (Fatimah), Marvyn Charles (Swing), Marlon G Day (Dad), Zahra Jones (Becca), James Gillan (Tray Sophisticay), Ryan Hughes (Mickey), Daniel Jacob (Sandra Bollock), Emily Kenwright (Vicki), Sejal Keshwala (Ray), Luke Latchman (Sayid), Jordan Laviniere (Cy), Rebecca McKinnis (Margaret New), Harriet Payne (Bex), Sabrina Sandhu (Pritti Pasha),  Ziggy Tyler Taylor (Levi), Momar Diagne, Melissa Jacques, Rachel Price (Swing), Biancha Szynal (Swing) and Adam Taylor (Swing).

Inspired by a true story, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie has songs by lead singer-songwriter of The Feeling, Dan Gillespie Sells and book and lyrics by writer Tom MacRae, from an idea by Jonathan Butterell who also directs. The musical has won seven major theatre awards and was nominated for five Olivier Awards.

The musical is also to be made into a major film by Sheffield-based production company Warp Films, completing the fairy-tale journey from a 16-year-old approaching a documentary maker to hit West End Show and now the big screen.
