NEWS: Olivier Awards launches new four-part series celebrating 2018’s nominees

Further details have been revealed about Road to the Oliviers, a new four-part series celebrating this year’s nominations for the Olivier Awards

Britain’s Got Talent winner Jamie Lambert, of Collabrowill host the first episode on Friday 16 March at 1pm on the Olivier Awards Facebook page.

Studio guests will include Olivier Award nominees, Derren Brown, whose show Underground is nominated for Best Entertainment and Family show; John McCrea and Josie Walker from Everybody’s Talking About Jamie who are nominated for Best Actor and Actress in a Musical; The Stage editor, Alistair Smith; and Willy Mukendi, an Olivier Award Be Inspired champion. 

This episode will also feature exclusive backstage footage of the most nominated new play, The Ferryman, and Best Actress for Long Day’s Journey Into Night nominee, Lesley Manville.

Details of the other Road to the Oliviers episodes will be announced in due course via the Olivier Awards social channelsCatherine Tate will host the awards at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 8 April and they will be broadcast to the UK and worldwide. Full broadcast details will be announced at a later date.
