The revival of Winsome Pinnock’s 2005 play runs at the Dalston venue until 21 December 2019.
When a young man jumps in front of a train Cyrus is driving, the mysterious circumstances prompt him to search for answers. In pursuing the truth of Sonny’s final hours, Cyrus is led to laundrette worker Christine, as the past begins to catch up with people whose lives are changed forever.
Re-written and re-imagined by playwright Pinnock, this new version of One Under explores the themes of the power of guilt and the quest for atonement and delves into the fragility of human relationships.
What the critics have said about One Under:

★★★★ “Definitely one to catch as it tours … the subtly written and acted stories certainly stay with you hours after the event” – East Midlands Theatre
★★★★ “Fast-paced, thrilling, thought-provoking and superbly performed” – Beyond the Curtain
★★★★ “The success of One Under is a combination of the clever writing and the strength within the performances … believable and powerful” – North West End
“Heartrendingly tender … bringing gentleness to delicate scenes of connection” – The Guardian
“Structured like a thriller and scattered with fantastical fairytale motifs … Amit Sharma’s production, with captioning and audio description, is compact, stylish and keenly felt” – The Times

Each performance of One Under incorporates both audio-description and captioning.
