Privates on Parade opens at the Union Theatre tonight (24 November 2017), where its limited season runs until 17 December 2017, at this superb South London theatre. Take a look at these first-look production photos of the cast by @headshottoby, led by 2017 Drama Desk Award Winner Simon Green in the iconic role of Terri.
Set during the Malayan Emergency of the late 1940’s, we follow the exploits of a song and dance unit during their tour of South East Asia as they provide light entertainment for the British Army.
Private Steve Flowers is posted to join the small show, which is conceived by and very much starring the wonderfully flamboyant Captain Terri Dennis, who’s cross dressing antics are the talk of the barracks.
Privates on Parade is an Olivier Award-winning play by Peter Nichols and is directed here by Kirk Jameson, with musical supervision by Nick Barstow, and design by MIke Lees.
