Front Foot Theatre’s new dystopian take on Shakespeare classic Richard III officially opens tomorrow (18 October 2017) at London’s Cockpit Theatre, where its limited season continues until 4 November 2017 only. Sneak a peek at our gallery of gorgeous new production shots – and then get booking…

Richard III is a timeless and universal story of the rise and fall of a dictator. A twisted antagonist, Richard enlists the audience as his co-conspirators and encourages them to witness his devious plots in becoming King. Fuelled by jealousy manipulation and deceit, he aims at the crown and takes to destroy all who stand in his way including those closest to him.

Director Lawrence Carmichael brings his international reputation for stage combat and physical theatre to create a fierce, bold and highly relevant production about fear and power.

Front Foot’s husband and wife co-founders Kim Hardy and Julia Papp play Richard and Lady Anne. They’re joined in the 16-strong cast by: Fiona Tong as the Duchess of York, Oliver Hewett as King Edward IV/Mayor of London/Earl of Oxford, Thomas Walker Barron as George Clarence/Archbishop/Lord Blunt, Helen Rose Hampton as Queen Elizabeth, Anglea Harvey as Queen Margaret, Luke MacLeod as Earl Rivers/Bishop of Ely/Priest/Lord Herbert, Alex Stevens as Lord Grey/Prince Edward/Lieutenant/Messenger, Guy Faith as the Duke of Buckingham, Lawrence O’Connor as Lord Stanley, Matt Hastings as Lord William Hastings, Simon Rodda as Richmond/Brackenbury/Cardinal, Liam Murray Scott as Sir Catesby/1st Murderer/1st Citizen/Duke of Norfolk, James Unsworth as Sir Ratcliffe/2nd Murderer/2nd Citizen/Earl of Surrey and Rowan Winter as Duke of York/3rd Citizen/Executioner/Messenger.
