The tragedy of the Grenfell Tower fire was a devastating loss but a small mercy has been the way in which so many have responded in offering various means of help and support. Adding to this remarkable group are Giles Terera and Danielle Tarento, who have combined forces to speedily put together Songs and Solidarity – a West End fundraising gala evening of song, dance and comedy for the hundreds of families made homeless and the relatives of those who lost their lives in the Grenfell Tower fire.

And because things come in threes, here’s the news about West End Sings’ Christmas single ‘If We Only Have Love’ by Jacques Brel. Released to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Childline and all proceeds will go to the charity. The track was officially released on Friday 9th December.

Scrumptious, truly: The famous car is big, gleaming and flies just as it should in the new production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, at Edinburgh’s Festival Theatre until Oct 15, but the surrounding musical has a much more homely feel to it.

Charlotte Wakefield and Jos Vantyler will join the cast of the UK tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang from October 2016. Wakefield will be playing the role of Truly Scrumptious and Vantyler takes the role of Childcatcher in the much-loved Sherman Brothers musical, which continues to tour with dates until 4 February 2017.
