Yesterday I watched Skye Hallam’s excellent one-woman show, Heads or Tails, one of the headline acts at the new Living Record Festival. It’s a gently confessional monologue about the afterlife spoken by 25-year-old Steph, who has – as they say – been “taken too soon”.
As an avid theatre-goer who has been forced to scale back her theatre-going, I’m suffering from serious theatre FOMO. I’ve been lucky enough to see some shows on their press nights, but generally my theatre-going has been seriously curtailed.
“What do you mean you’ve never been to the Edinburgh Festival? You must go, you’d love it.” Yeap, it’s that time of year where I hear variations of the above ad nauseam.
