Little Miss Sunshine is impressively directed with a high energy level, the songs are so good that I hope a soundtrack CD is soon released, and overall it’s a very solid four-star musical I could easily imagine transferring to the West End and being a big hit.

NEWS: Laura Pitt-Pulford & Gary Wilmot join the cast of Little Miss Sunshine European premiere

The European premiere of Little Miss Sunshine at Arcola Theatre will star Laura Pitt-Pulford as Sheryl, the matriarch of the eccentric Hoover family and Gary Wilmot as Grandpa. The Off-Broadway hit musical opens at the Arcola Theatre, London on 21 March 2019 running until 11 May (press night is 1 April) before embarking on a UK tour.

PROMISES, PROMISES – Southwark Playhouse

On the face of it, you could see why reviving Promises, Promises would be an appealing prospect – written by Neil Simon from a Billy Wilder film and featuring a score by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. But digging even just a little deeper – a running time of nearly 3 hours and an antiquated set of gender politics made it a tough one to watch, and an even tougher one to excuse in today’s society.

Final casting is today announced for the first London production in 20 years of the hit Burt Bacharach/Hal David/Neil Simon Broadway musical PROMISES, PROMISES, based on the Billy Wilder film The Apartment, which runs at London’s Southwark Playhouse from 13 January to 18 February 2017, with a press night on 17 January.

MISS ATOMIC BOMB – St James Theatre

Miss Atomic Bomb blasts onto the St James stage with a visually impressive bang. In a show that’s a chain reaction of spectacular dance work (including some delicious tap routines), choreographer Bill Deamer’s fingerprints (or rather footprints) are everywhere. Deamer, who also co-directs, has a consummate understanding of the spectacular and the dancing here is amongst the best in town.
