NEWS: Alexandra Burke cast as The Narrator in Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the London Palladium

Alexandra Burke will return to the West End this summer in the new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, running at the London Palladium from 1 July (gala night is 15 July) to 5 September 2021. Burke joins Jac Yarrow who is back in the title role and Jason Donovan who returns as Pharaoh.

We love a starry debut, especially on opening night in a huge theatre: a 21-year-old not yet through drama school making a stonking, belting first professional appearance in a title role. So Laurence Connor knew what he was doing when he cast young Jac Yarrow in Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Full casting has been announced for the new production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the London Palladium following the previous announcements that Sheridan Smith will star as The Narrator, Jason Donovan will return to the show as Pharaoh, and Jac Yarrow will mark his professional debut as Joseph.

New American musical Hamilton collected seven Olivier Awards including Best New Musical and The Ferryman went home with three prizes at the Olivier Awards 2018, the UK’s most prestigious stage honours announced tonight (Sunday 8 April 2018) at London’s Royal Albert Hall hosted by Catherine Tate.
