NEWS: Ian Rickson’s production of Jerusalem is set for the West End with Mark Rylance & Mackenzie Crook reprising their roles

Sonia Friedman Productions and the Royal Court Theatre have confirmed the return of Ian Rickson’s production of Jez Butterworth’s Jerusalem to London’s West End for a strictly limited 16-week engagement. Mark Rylance and Mackenzie Crook will reprise their celebrated roles as Johnny “Rooster” Byron and Ginger respectively, with further casting to be announced at a later date.

Sonia Friedman Productions is celebrating after the Broadway transfers of The Ferryman and Ink garnered six wins at the 2019 Tony Awards, while the National Theatre had plenty to be happy about following Bryan Cranston being named Best Leading Actor in a Play for Network and Hadestown (which finished a run at the National in January this year) scooping eight awards.

NEWS: The Ferryman extends West End booking until May, TICKETS ONSALE

As demand for tickets continues, Jez Butterworth’s highly acclaimed The Ferryman, directed by Sam Mendes has again extended its run at the West End’s Gielgud Theatre and is now booking until 18 May 2018. The overnight rush to acclaim genius, the enthusiasm with which some greet it, the scepticism that that inspires in others followed by the relief that comes when someone publishes a well-reasoned critique that allows them to say ‘well it isn’t that good, see’.
