Off the back of a two-year Edinburgh Fringe tenure and a tidal wave of rapturous reviews, Hull playwright Luke Barnes’ gig theatre opus All We Ever Wanted Was Everything arrives at Shepherd’s Bush.
All We Ever Wanted Was Everything at the Bush Theatre, a new pop opera about a couple of young people across three decades is simply exhilarating.
Yet another pat on the back is due for the Bush Theatre who has knocked things out of the park once again with its latest main house show. All We Ever Wanted Was Everything, written by Luke Barnes and performed by the excellent folk from Hull’s Middle Child, is a superb piece of gig theatre.
This production of Brighton Rock has a striking physicality to it, utterly eyecatching but careful not to overly glamourise this noirish world.
