Night of the Living Dead Live, the stage production based on George A Romero’s classic horror film, is a lively and surprisingly funny show to watch – even if the plot is a bit thin.
Night of the Living Dead is an instantly recognisable title; George Romero basically kick-started the zombie genre in his 1968 flick, though they were just ‘ghouls’ then, a moniker adhered to in this: Night of the Living Dead Live.
Mike Bodie chatted to LLLC about bringing George A Romero’s film Night of the Living Dead to the stage.
Based on George A. Romero’s unparalleled 1968 film Night of the Living Dead, the first ever UK stage adaptation will open at Pleasance, London from 9 April to 19 May 2019. Directed by Benji Sperring, Night of the Living Dead Live will pay homage to the cult monochrome classic. Casting will be announced in due course.
