Showstopper! The Improvised Musical kick off their new West End residency at the Garrick Theatre in their own inimitable style.
The Showstopper gang haves had a busy time of it in lockdown (including their Alternative Eurovision and an online musical improv) and now they are back for a residency at the Garrick Theatre on Monday nights.
With energetic performances, jokes aplenty and clever songs that wouldn’t sound out of place in the West End, Showstopper! The (Socially Distanced) Improvised Musical was a riot from start to finish.
I’ve been watching the Showstopper crew for as long as I’ve been blogging (the King’s Head was a great venue for them), so it’s a real treat to see them constantly move onwards and upwards.
I wonder if in years to come we’ll look back on the ‘Theatre of Brexit’ in the same way we analyse Shakespeare’s treatment of Agincourt, or the Trojan Wars in Sophocles?
