Overall, it is pleasing to have Chicago back in the West End to offer new audiences an opportunity to see the classic musical. But it is just lacking a little bit of sparkle in the performances to make it really ‘Razzle Dazzle’.
Chicago is faultless, as always. There are no surprises from this revival but this multi-award-winning, slick and stylish, musical doesn’t put a foot wrong. Sublime musical numbers, choreography and performances, it razzle dazzles throughout.
Paul Rider will return to the role of Amos Hart, joining the previously announced Cuba Gooding Jr, Sarah Soetaert, Josefina Gabrielle and Ruthie Henshall in the multi award-winning Chicago at London’s Phoenix Theatre.
