Have you seen actor George Johnston’s full-length playwriting debut Snapshot at the London’s Hope Theatre yet? Here are photos and show trailer to tempt you.
Budding (and broke) photographer James and his relationship dramas lie at the heart of George Johnston’s new play Snapshot. His barely-out banker boyfriend Daniel pays the lion’s share of the bills but has problems sharing his feelings, his new benefactor Frank has as many designs on being a sugar daddy as a genuine supporter, and old college friend and aspiring actor Olivia can’t keep away either.
James and Daniel are chalk and cheese, and very much in love. The unemployed photographer and Canary Wharf stockbroker are adorably domestic, but both are hiding secrets. When James’ uni mate and ex-girlfriend Olivia vengefully reveals one of them, this irrevocably opens the floodgates to the rest.
On the face of it, Jamie has it all. A handsome, successful and, let’s make no bones about it, pretty rich boyfriend. A fabulous fag hag and a nice older gentleman friend who shares his love of art and photography. But, this is not enough for our James.
