What it’s like being on tour? I’ve done a few tours and I really enjoy them. The different theatres and places you go to and different audiences reaction. I get paid to sing and dance doing what I love it’s like a dream come true I feel really lucky. You eat together, you live together and rehearse together so you do get closer, it feels more like a family unit.

NEWS: Cast announced for Faction’s Much Ado at Selfridges

This summer, Selfridges have joined forces with one of the most exciting emerging young British theatre companies in the UK, The Faction, to celebrate Shakespeare400 with a new staging of Much Ado About Nothing at The reFASHIONed Theatre, a pop-up performance space inside the famous Oxford Street store. It runs from 23 August to 24 September 2016, with a press night on 26 August.

Also continuing their roles are: Megan Llewellyn as ‘Carlotta’ and Jacinta Mulcahy as ‘Madame Giry’. Harriet Jones returns as alternate ‘Christine Daaé’.

Reading the press release for Jennie Buckman’s new play Piece of Silk at the Hope Theatre, I had the feeling I wasn’t in for an easy night at the theatre. Any show that is, to quote “Inspired by The Arabian Nights and drawing on the shocking stories of women survivors of domestic violence, Piece of Silk proves definitively that ‘storytelling is a matter of life and death’.”

The Original Theatre Company and Salisbury Playhouse in association with Eastbourne Theatres will present the national tour of Emlyn Williams’ psychological thriller, NIGHT MUST FALL, directed by Luke Sheppard and starring Gwen Taylor as Mrs Bramson. The tour will begin at Devonshire Park Theatre in Eastbourne on 19 August 2016, with a national press night on Wednesday 7 September at Salisbury Playhouse.

NEWS: Full cast announced for The Painkiller, starring Kenneth Branagh & Rob Brydon

It is announced that Claudie Blakley, Marcus Fraser, Mark Hadfield and Alex Macqueen will join previously confirmed cast members Kenneth Branagh and Rob Brydon in the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company’s new comedy The Painkiller. The fifth production in the Plays at the Garrick season will play from 5 March until 30 April with press night on 17 March.
