I’m not usually crazy about rankings and hierarchy in the creative arts so, please, see this as more of a summary of all the shows that really shook me. Except for the Number One. I’m all about cheerleading that star at the top of my own personal Christmas tree. But I loved each of these shows and, if you caught them, I hope you did too.

NEWS: Imelda Staunton & Conleth Hill star in Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? TICKETS ONSALE

Imelda Staunton and Conleth Hill will star in a new production of multi Tony and Pulitzer prize-winning playwright Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? directed by James Macdonald. It runs at the West End’s Harold Pinter Theatre for 13 weeks from 22 February to 27 May 2017, with an official opening night on 9 March.
