Provincetown, of course, is not an entirely theatre-free zone — there’s plenty live entertainment, from a lot of drag cabarets to male strip shows and piano bars, to enjoy.
She’s joky, and open, and delightful company – and when she sings, although that Juilliard operatic training diction is ever present and the resonance of her chest cavity empowers even the subtlest line, she exhibits a truly diverse range.
Let’s face it, you do not win six Tony Awards for being average, you win them for being sensational.

Record-breaking six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald is to return to London’s West End in April for four concerts at Leicester Square Theatre, where she completely sold out her shows last year.
Today it was announced that this summer’s West End season of Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill will be postponed as the show’s star Audra McDonald has announced that she and her husband, actor Will Swenson, are expecting a baby. Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill had been due to run at the West End’s Wyndham’s Theatre 25 June to 3 September 2016, with a press night on 5 July. Plans for revised dates will be announced soon.
