Matthew Bourne’s latest production, is described as “intoxicated tales from the darkest Soho” and based on the novels of Patrick Hamilton. All the action takes place at The Midnight Bell, a public house and Central London in the 1930’s.

I love Austen’s work and am fascinated by the times in which she lived, so I managed to get to one or two things to mark the anniversary, but one show I really do wish I’d been able to include in that was Sara Pascoe’s adaptation of the classic Pride and Prejudice.
NEWS: Gypsy and Imelda Staunton lead winners at UK Theatre Awards
UK Theatre has announced the winners of the UK Theatre Awards 2015 – the only awards to honour outstanding achievement in performing, producing and management in theatres throughout the United Kingdom. Gypsy takes home prizes for Best Musical and Best Performance in a Musical for Imelda Staunton, while special awards are given to actress Imelda Staunton and director-choreographer Matthew Bourne.
NEWS: The Railway Children add fours months to King’s Cross run
The Olivier Award-winning production of Mike Kenny’s stage adaptation of E. Nesbit’s novel The Railway Children – Live on Stage will be extending its run at King’s Cross Theatre until Sunday 3 January 2016. Originally planned to close on 6 September, the production will run for an extra four months due to popular demand. Tickets for the new period will go on sale at 10.00am on Friday 10 July.
