Laughter disguises darker truths in the trailer and character portraits for new show about second chances, The Chaos Theory. Take a look, then book your tickets!
The plays, written by Robbi Stevens and staged by her company RAaW, runs from 16 to 20 July at The Vaults.
Three women caught in a cycle of destructive, unhealthy behaviour, which they realise is damaging those around them, want desperately to change their lives. For Becca, Caroline and Deanna it seems that wishing really can make it so and they find themselves transported back to the point at which their lives took their current path. They are given that second chance and each grab it with both hands. The Chaos Theory examines what might happen if those wishes could actually come true.
The Chaos Theory aims to raise awareness and provoke a response around the circles of destruction surrounding sexual assault, drug addiction, domestic abuse, poverty and mental health.
Isidora Fairhurst plays Caroline, with Shelley-ann Harrison as Becca and Yasemin Gava as Deanna. Aleksandra Valcheva, Ata Teka, Kandice Morris, Kieran E Sims, Rory Kennedy and Sam Londt complete the cast.
Playwright Stevens also directs the production. Her previous plays include Money: Power: Love, 2028 (both Camden People’s Theatre), 180 (Leicester Square Theatre), Promiseland and Through the Ages (Theatro Technis).
The packed summer season at Waterloo venue The Vaults also includes current Game of Thrones-inspired immersive dining experience Dinner is Coming, boarding school-set rock/pop musical Bare, modern relationship comedy Games for Lovers, which stars Harry Potter’s Evanna Lynch, and fun family detective show The Falcon’s Malteser.
