Abi Morgan’s hit stage play Tiny Dynamite returns to the stage tonight (9 January 2018) for its first professional revival in 15 years. It’s at London’s Old Red Lion Theatre until 3 February 2018 only. Sneak a peek behind the scenes with our rehearsal gallery and teaser video trailers below – and then get booking!

When memory takes hold, when chaos takes over and when the electricity between us becomes overwhelming – an impossible love story is given a second chance and three scorched characters are about to learn that lightning does strike twice.

Tiny Dynamite, one of Morgan’s early works, explores how tiny events from our pasts can have explosive effects on our futures. It follows two childhood friends, eternally bound by a traumatic event from their pasts, that has left them incapable of moving on with their lives. But during their annual pilgrimage to the countryside, the pair encounter a beautiful stranger who couldn’t possibly exist, someone who threatens to uncover a truth long since buried. Niall Bishop, Eva-Jane Willis and Tanya Fear star.

The Time Productions revival, directed by David Loumgair, merges qualities of a love story with those of a ghost tale and psychological thriller, presenting a fierce pressure cooker of memory and trauma. Anna Reid designs, with lighting by Zoe Spurr and music and sound by Dan Jeffries.

Since Tiny Dynamite, Morgan has written critically-acclaimed screenplays including Shame, starring Michael Fassbender and directed by Steve McQueen; The Iron Lady, starring Meryl Streep and directed by Phyllida Lloyd; and Suffragette, starring Carey Mulligan and directed by Sarah Gavron.

Tiny Dynamite runs from 9 January to 3 February 2018 at the Old Red Lion Theatre, 418 St John Street, London EC1V 4NJ, with Tuesday to Saturday performances (90 minutes) at 7.30pm and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 3pm. CLICK HERE TO BOOK!
